JEE Mains 2019 is a national level examination which is formerly known as All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). The exam is held for granting admission into many undergraduate engineering and architecture courses in institutes accepting the JEE Mains score, mainly National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs). The exam comprises of only two papers: Paper I is conducted for B.E/B. Tech courses and Paper IInd is conducted for B. Arch Course. Applicants can appear for any or both the papers but Paper I is mandatory from 2019.
The candidates are suggested to visit the official website and verify their details. If desired, the candidates can make a correction in only one of the following fields. Like Candidate’s Name or Mother’s Name or Father’s Name. The applicants are permitted to undertake corrections if any, latest by 15/03/2019. Later on, no change in details, whatsoever, will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances.
Who Can Appear for JEE Mains Exam 2019?
- Those candidates who have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards.
- There is relaxation for SC/ST candidates. The qualifying marks would be 65% at the 12th level.
The online application process for JEE Mains 2019 was begun from 08 Feb 2019 and deadline to fill the JEE MAINS 2019 registration form was 07 Mar 2019. The exam is scheduled in April 2019. For filling the application form, applicants go through the official website of a conducting body. Applicants can submit the application fees via online mode such as Debit card/ Credit card Net banking/Paytm/Cash card etc.
The syllabus for both Paper I and Paper II is quite different. In Paper I, all questions carry from the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of CBSE class 11th and 12th. While Paper 2 contains mostly class 12-level mathematics as well as all questions on aptitude and drawing. Paper I consists of 90 questions of 4 marks each and Paper II comprises a total of 82 questions. National Test Agency (NTA) will operate the JEE Mains exam twice in a year from 2019 onwards.
